Faroe Islands
Faroe Islands represents an extraordinary nature offering endless challenges. 18 small islands in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean welcomes you with a beautiful and rough nature. A roughness seen as a contrast to the hospitable people living on Faroe Islands.
Unique elements
The race brings mix teams of 3 around to the most facinating places on the islands. For instance the worlds highest promontory "Enniberg" with 650 meters of vertical cliff and the highest summit on Faroe Islands "Slætnatindur" as well as rapelling in waterfalls, sailing and swimming between the islands and biking on narrow paths and over high passes.
Stages
The first day starts with a stage around Torshavn followed by 3 days of intensive competition including stages (from 8-20 hours) on many of the islands.
NACC requires good skills in navigation, capabilities in and on open water as well as moutain experience.
Total distance is expected to be aprox. 300 km including a lot of vertical meters.
By forming the race as a stage race, the teams will be able to keep an intensive and competitive tempo. And during the stages there is an oppurtunity to meet the other teams and the Faroese people.
